Hi, I’m Ali
Hi! I’m Ali, your local flower farmer and the founder of The Backyard Farm. My journey began at Iowa State University, where I earned a degree in Horticulture with a minor in Business. I always knew I wanted to own my own business — I just didn’t know what that would look like.
That vision truly took root after spending three summers working as a flower farm intern. It was there that I fell in love with the entire process, from growing flowers from seed to creating thoughtful floral designs. What started as a dream continued to grow when I moved back to the Quad City area after graduation to start my own flower farm.
Today, The Backyard Farm specializes in wedding and event florals, as well as seasonal, locally grown arrangements, all designed with an emphasis on sustainability, creativity, and flowers grown right here at my home.
